The wonder of Christmas
Det här är en liten juldikt jag skrev idag.
This is a little Christmas poem I wrote today. First time I'm rhyming in English, so bear with me if it's a little halting.
In a stable half forgotten
a newborn little baby lay,
Mary having wrapped and put him
in a crib that's full of hay
Born into a world where all men fall,
this baby boy is the Saviour of us all
Special night, so full of beauty
more than we have comprehended
Angels were sent out from heav'n
bearing message of God's son descended
Born into a world where all men fall,
this baby boy is the Saviour of us all
Shepherds listened with willing ears,
their hearts were filled with joy
Witnesses to the miracle,
they went to see the baby boy
Born into a world where all men fall,
this baby boy is the Saviour of us all
Maybe riding on their camels,
wise men coming from afar
They had come to see the newborn
following a shining star
Born into a world where all men fall,
this baby boy is the Saviour of us all
Falling down to worship,
still on bended knee
All the stable's long way guests
finally could see
Born into a world where all men fall,
this baby boy is the Saviour of us all
Bringing gifts most treasured,
frankincense, myrrh and gold
They gave them to the little child
who's birth had been foretold
Born into a world where all men fall,
this baby boy is the Saviour of us all
This King of Kings and Lord of Lords,
we seek Him still today
To make us free, to lead us right
when we have gone astray
Descended into a world where all men fall,
Jesus Christ is the Saviour of us all
